Good quality tool that is not for everyone
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich First of it is HUGE. I know that there are dimensions, but I didn't expect that it is so big. I can't say that it is disadvantage, but you really need to make attention to the size.
Now about disadvantages. I used thumb controlled trackballs previously (M570 and some other similar ones) and decided to give a try to this one. So, I can't normally control it with 1 hand. The buttons are not comfortable when you use it with 1 hand. Especially left-click. Holding it and moving the ball is very uncomfortable. I re-mapped the left-click to fn1 and it got a bit easier to control, but not so handy as with M570. Right-click is in a better place, but once again if you need to hold it and control ball - you are in the troubles.
Advantages:
The build quality seems to be solid, all the materials look very solid. 10 configurable buttons can make you happy if you use them properly. It is said that there are 8 buttons in the title, but there are 10 of them (you can click wheel in 3 ways, push it down, in the middle and up). Controlling the ball is also nice. You can do that with several fingers at single time. I like it until the moment when you need to click some button. I don't care about DPI, but I believe that it is working fine.
Overall: I can surely say that this device is not for me. I'm keyboard person and use mouse/trackball only time to time. If the mouse/trackball is your primary tool then it can work, especially if you are OK to work with it with 2 hands. It might be related to the arm shape/size (mine is medium size). So few words - it is good quality tool that didn't work for me. Will it be good to you - you decide.
