Buying used children's toys is the way to go.
I didn't realize there were pieces missing until my Four year old pointed it out, but expected this would happen when buying used toys. Nonetheless, my 3 and 4 year old LOVE these. They play with them in the bath, kiddie pool, sandbox and mud puddles, which is exactly why purchased used instead of new.
