These are what I call “file to fit”. This one wasn’t too bad. Sand the bottom of the sight first (never the slide). Usually this will help you get it started into the dovetail. If not, take a little off of the sides. When it will go 1/3 of the way in by hand, knock it the the rest of the way with a nylon drift punch. Steel punches will harm the sight and the slide. If you must use a steel punch place the slide in a padded vice, tape it around the edges of the dovetail and gently tap it into place. Patience.
