It initially works as advertised.
The back flush valve fits perfectly without leaking. However, the original Hayward valve has a metal shaft that doesn't flex. This replacement has a plastic shaft that "flexes / bends" quite a bit when turning it to the backflush position before the lower end with the gaskets actually starts to also turn. The valve lifting and lowering is not a problem. It's trying to turn it that bothers me. It feels like it's going to break. The original Hayward has lasted since 2003,,, 18 years. This valve is about $80 cheaper than the Hayward,,,, but will it last,,,, I don't know. For the money I paid; yes it works, and it initially does what it's supposed to do. If it malfunctions, then I'll go back to the original Hayward valve. I marked "yes" I would recommend it because it works as advertised. I marked "yes" for is it a good value because it's only $48. I also marked "yes" for is it a good quality. If it lasts 4 or 5 years then yes it's of good quality. If it doesn't and has to be replaced shortly, then "no" it isn't of good quality.

Great battery
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I've been using this battery in my Garmin 255W for about a month now. The start up time is much quicker than with the old original battery. The past three times I've used just battery power and after about an hour and a half total, It's down by only one bar. Looks like it should run about four to five hours before needing a complete recharge but the label says it's good for up to 1000 charges.
This battery DOES NOT come with instructions !!! It does come with tools but it's up to you to figure out how to install it. The little blue plastic pry bar worked pretty good to pry the Garmin apart AFTER I figured out there were two screws hidden underneath the bar code on the bottom of the unit. The pry bar opened the top of the unit but I had to stick the small flat screw driver into the crack and walk it around the unit, periodically using additional screw drivers to keep the crack open till it finally popped open. Using the small torx driver I was able to dismantle the inside to expose the plug for the battery. Gotta be careful here as you can damage the circuitry real easy. Insertion of the plug is idiot proof,, can only go in one way. The battery had the leads coming out the middle of the battery instead of the top corner so I had to cut the label and re-position the leads. The battery DOES NOT come with the sticky backing to mount the battery into the unit to prevent it from banging around. I used my wife's hair dryer to loosen up the two sided sticky patch from the old battery and transfer it to the new one. Once positioned and pressed to stick, reassembly was a snap.
I would highly recommend this battery with the enclosed tools if you need a replacement. The Garmin 255W is a bit tricky to disassemble and even with good eyes you might want to have a magnifying glass handy. Since this battery fits a score of other types of units, such as cell phones, for $10 it's a real deal.
