Beautifully filmed, but needed a better script.
Although we loved the views of Whitby and it was fun to see the donkeys which we had met and stroked one holiday, the storyline was terrible, with unbelievable characters. You could practically see the wicked uncle twirling his moustache. Donkeys on a train? Ridiculous! And there seemed to be at least one scene missing, so the story didn't make sense.

A good introduction to John Polidori
A useful introduction to Polidori, but not an in depth study, more of a guide book than a scholarly work. Although well illustrated, the book has no notes and there is no introduction, so you have no idea why the authors were interested in Polidori in the first place and wished to follow in his footsteps. There are also some minor typos; 'tale' for 'tail' and 'broach' for 'brooch' etc. as if the proof reading was left to a spell checker rather than being done by the human eye. There are very few books on Polidori, so I would recommend it, but probably only to readers who don't know much about the subject.

Brilliant figure, like Christopher Lee's been miniaturised!
Fabby, fab, fab said my partner on unwrapping this great figure of Christopher Lee on his birthday. A terrific likeness. Curretly mint in package, but that won't last long!
