Overall I'm satisfied
This blows up in three sections and was very easy to inflate. It's great that it comes with a pump so you don't have to buy one separately.
So far (a couple of weeks after buying) it has kept the air in quite well. It's been useful as a substitute sofa while I wait to order a real sofa for my new home. It's also great that it's so light I can keep moving it around as I experiment with different furniture arrangements!
A few minor criticisms:
1. Like almost every inflatable item, this sofa has an air valve that you can push into the surface of the item once it's inflated so it doesn't stick out when you're using it. But of course the only way to pull the valve out again to inflate it involves pulling on the cap, which puts a strain on the relatively fragile bit holding the cap and valve together, which then inevitably breaks after a bit of use. I realise this is no different from most inflatable items, but it would be AMAZING to be able to buy an inflatable thing without this design flaw.
2. It's great that it's so versatile and can turn into either a double or single bed, but I realise after buying it that it's too short lengthwise to be used as a single bed by a normal height adult. My fault for not checking dimensions. Would work fine for a child or short adult, though.
3. The item came in a cardboard box, but the box itself was wrapped in non-recyclable plastic for posting. Why couldn't the box be delivered inside a bigger box, or at least in recyclable/biodegradeble plastic?
