Sabine FBX Products
I started out using the Sabine feed back eliminators back in the 90's. They are considered old technology now. However, they literally plug and play. You can get the manual from Sabine to understand how to hook it into your sound system and understand how it works. But once it's hooked up, you can actually turn it on and let it set itself up for your room.
Feedback eliminators are especially helpful with you have a speaker or artist that continually wonders in front of the speaker stack. I use mine in church where we have speakers pointing in all directions to make hearing the sermons easy. In the past, using the mixer was a full time job as the pastor wandered around the sanctuary with his wireless mic. Now, it's no longer a problem.
The Sabine FBX is fast and usually you see its done it job before any audio feedback is detected by ear. If you can get a good used/working FBX it's worth it weight in gold. Excellent product.

Inexpensive aviation antenna
Should be rugged enough to withstand Alaska winters at my mountain top radio site.

Great radio.
We use the non-dtmf pad versions at the Fire Station. I'm involved with a number of first responders and needed a radio that could be field programmed. This does the trick.
