Indians
Cheyenne autumn is a John Ford western movie which is different from his other westerns, because this film is mostly about the cheyenne indians, and how the White man treated them, after they had been defeated and was forced to leave their Home place and was giving a reservation which was mostly a dessert.
And this is where the movie starts,
This is I think, the first time that Indians are the main character’s in an American western, and a few years after this film other films about the Indians gave a more nuanced picture of the red man, where it’s mostly the White man who are bad.
