Perfect collectible, not a kids toy
This figure looks amazing! Design is specifically based on 1960s spider-man with drawing by Steve Ditko. Not Romita, not anyone else, Ditko! And it shows. Design is very accurate, looking at this figure is like looking Ditko's art translated into reality. Shapes, proportions, colors. Very accurate Ditko-style eyes, which no other artist could replicate. Thin and relaxed web pattern. It could only be made better if they included under-arm webbing pieces, however this product does not include those.
But there are plenty of accessories, and I'm sure most of you watched reviews on youtube by now to know specifics. Different masks are cool, but I think default one is the best. Peter's head is accurate, however a bit dull. His eyes look kinda lost and face is emotionless. Not the strongest feature of this figure. Face/Mask head is excelent, and it's a bit more expressive than just the face.
It's obviously a collectors item, not a child's toy. I'm not worried about blue fabric - it's stretchy and soft. However, red fabric seems fragile and very likely to be damaged if you put your figure in extreme poses and leave it like that for a while. Set includes a lot of interchangeable hands, they all look great. However, I wonder how long will the pegs last - they don't seem to be extremely wear-resistant.
Web elements are great to have. Most of them include wire inside, so it's really easy to pose.
Light-up eyes is a great feature, however not only lenses do light up, but the entire red portion of his face, which looks a bit weird.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're fan of original spidey comics and Ditko art like me - you gonna love this!
