Flexible Tripod
It is great for traveling due to the light weight carbon fibre material, which is strong and rigid for its weight, but if you need absolute stability with heavy gears, this may not be for you. Try it out in a shop first.
It has the typical Gitzo quality, properly engineered and well made. The off centre tilting centre column plus legs that can be spread at any angle up to 90 degree make this tripod great for macro or table top product shots. All locks are solid and inspire confidence.
Since there are no preset tabs for leg angles, you need to spend time adjusting the angle of each and every leg based on the small spirit level, even if the ground is perfectly level. By the way you have to raise the off centre column before you can see the spirit level clearly. Of course this won't matter to you if you don't need the tripod to be perfectly level.
As for value for money, I am not aware of any other tripod that have all these features in a single package. However you can buy a Lateral Arm from Gitzo and use it on any other standard tripod.

Save your thumb and more
I've only tried it on my CZ 9mm mags but I'm sure it will work with others as it not size specific. If you shoot a few hundred rounds in one outing, this will save your thumb and probably prolong the life of your mags as you won't be jamming cartridges into them with a tired and sorer thumb. The build materials uare good, and I have no problem loading the last round with it, although the instruction says some magazines will have problem with the last cartridge.

Perfectly functioning Horotec clone
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich There is no brand name or country of origin to be found anywhere on this device, but obviously it is a clone of the Swiss Horotec. Compare to the original Swiss product, the finish is rough with some paint chipping, missing a hole on the main plate for the little rod (which is completely redundant), and did not come in a box.
I am guessing it must be made in China, however operation wise it functions just fine, may be the steel is not the same quality, but I don't need super steel to open case backs. For the price it is a no brainer.
