Not a favorite!
This coloring book is rather cheap in appearance and quality. It is quite small though it looked normal size in the picture in the listing. It is a slender volume with the illustrations printed on both sides of each page. I didn't want to just ignore it after having paid for it and waited like more than 2 weeks to get it, so I am using it as a "practice book" . In this little book of flowers and trees I am practicing coloring techniques I would like to perfect to use in my better coloring books. so far that is going well for me. I have been able to use colored pencils, gel pens & fine liner pens without beed through. The art work is decent if pretty repetitive, but for the purpose of practice it works. I don't recommend it if you are looking for a normal size book with interesting French garden illustrations. You won't really get that with this book. It lilts nice on the cover, but the rest is rather boring.

Beautifully designed, great artwork, engaging for adult colorists!
This coloring book is really delightful especially if you love cats or at least admire them! It has very good art so it is not boring or disappointing to adult colorists. It is clever and engaging. It is too mature for young kids, however, it would be fine for a teenage person who likes to take time coloring for relaxation and pleasure. I am really loving the time I spend coloring these pages.

Great, fun oil pastels!
While these are always sold at a lower price than many other brands of oil pastels, do not be fooled into thinking they are not good quality. These are well pigmented with a beautiful color array. These blend very nicely with either Turpenoid or Oderless Mineral Spirits. They can also be blended with baby oil although in my experience this medium is less satisfactory because it is harder to control and may leave an oil mark on the other side of your paper. you can also blend just using your finger directly onto the pastel on the paper. These are smaller than some pastels and nice and light in your hand. They have a blunt end rather than a tapered end. I recommend these oil pastels for casual hobbyists, or beginners to the medium of oil pastels and even to youngsters. with kids, however, they should be about 8 years or older in order to know not to push down to hard as smaller kids tend to do. Honestly, for the price, you cannot go wrong trying these out: Smooth, well pigmented, blendable.
