A great camera.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich A fantastic camera with incredible image quality, particularly its extraordinary rendition of skin tones on its 'Natural' picture setting.
It, along with the Nikon D 40, is still my current favourite DSLR, in spite of owning more expensive dslrs.
The high iso performance is great, even today, and even beats the Nikon D40 in its maintenance of resolution and colour saturation at high isos.
Its balance and size when handled and held to the eye is the best, and the viewfinder is large.
Autofocus is reliably accurate and quite fast. In-built image stabilisation is effective, and works with any lens. Auto iso adjustment works well.
Along with the D40, the Pentax K100D is a classic camera that punches well above its weight.

Don't hesitate: this is a classic camera and Nikon's best dslr.
8 von 8 finden das hilfreich This is the best dslr from Nikon or any manufacturer. I have bought a second on EBay in case my main one is damaged or lost. I have other, higher resolution dslrs, yet continually return to this model. Its viewfinder is much bigger and brighter than any current Nikon or other entry-level dslr, even brighter than some with pentaprisms, not pentamirrors! I have made 12*18 inch prints that are tack sharp, its autofocus is accurate, it has focus-assist in low light, and its best feature is the 1/500 second flash synchronisation.
Exposure is accurate set at -0.7 stops, and I prefer its colour rendition to Nikon's current Picture Style setup. High iso noise performance is great, and I never use noise reduction. Along with the Pentax K100D, with the latter's extraordinary skin rendition, this is a wonderful camera, and is unreservedly recommended.
