HP 5351B, a great frequency counter.
Although the box arrived damaged and I was a little apprehensive the HP5351B appeared to have no damage and after hooking it up to power came right up. First I tested the internal / external reference by hooking it up to my R&S GPS standard. It worked fine, the internal switchover function is working and the front panel shows the correct state. Applying a GPS controlled frequency standard to the counter it shows 100% right reading with the GPS reference connected (a different reference than the frequency standard) and only shows 43hz of at 8 ghz with the internal reference. Since there is a way to adjust the internal oszillator this difference did not matter...I also plan to run the counter permanent with the external GPS connection. All functions are fine and work well although I only can test to 12 ghz at this time. Since I will predominantly use it below that frequency I am well satisfied with the performance.
It was joy dealing with a honest company, they are not your typical e-bay bait and switch recycler.

Cheap and mediocre build don't expect it to be stable.
Although it works, the manufacturer has obvious cut some corners in the voltage filtering. The clock oscillator is not stable at all it runs +- 25Khz even after being on continuous for 2 days. The accuracy is questionable also mine is 90Khz low to start. A oscillator with .5 or .1 ppm is cheap these days and should have been used. The touch screen is touchy and has a life on its own and is not well calibrated. There is no touch screen calibration routine enclosed so hitting the right numbers on the keypad is an exercise in frustration at times even if a stylus is used. Do NOT use a USB voltage feed from a computer or cheap supply, it generates spurs all over the place. I ended up using a linear walwart and 5V linear regulator to power it....and even so the phase noise was not the best...

Godd quality product but not quite up to specification
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I tested this amplifier and found it is not quite up to specification.
It is quite flat from 1Mhz to 165Mhz but after that it loses gain quick.
With 15V and 0dbm input the amp will deliver 3.4W over this frequency range although it is in saturation and therefore the harmonics are quite strong they are only -20dbc. reducing the input power to -10dbm resulted in an output power of 1.2w and the second harmonic at -34dbc, 3rd at -41dbc, and 4th at -50dbc.
The gain in this frequency range is ~33db at full output power. Above 165Mhz it falls quickly with 23db at 300Mhz, 20db at 400mhz,17db at 500Mhz and 10db at 700Mhz.
Equipment used:
HP 8656B signal generator
HP 438A power meter
HP8591E spectrum analyzer with tracking generator
DC-6gig 40db 10w Bird resistive attenuator
This of course was a sample of 1 and it is quite possible that others are closer to specs or not.
Since I wanted to use the amp as a 1w broadband driver in the 1-150Mhz range it will still do what I wanted it to do and I can recommend it for this kind of use.
