The case of the missing cables...
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich The units that I bought had "No Batteries"...I expected that as it was given in the listing. However, they had no battery connecting cables either. It turns out that APC has gone to a "cartridge" that has the two batteries and the necessary cables. I did not understand this. However, the seller was helpful and I decided to just make up the needed cables. No problem!! The connectors are just simple 1/4" spade lugs. I have all the units charging now and they all seem to work just fine. So, you can purchase the APC cartridges or you can make your own cables, which you can use later on when and if you ever need new batteries.

Just be sure that you understand that you CANNOT have more than five handsets with this base station.

Can't get 6 handsets to work.
According to VTech, it is IMPOSSIBLE to make the CS6429 base station use more than 5 handsets. Therefore, the advertisements showing 6 handsets with this base station are misleading. The company selling this 6 handsets bundle should immediately pull all such offers. But I just checked and the 6 headset bundle is still there, catching customers that are not aware of this problem.
