Bravo! Ms. Fisher
We have so enjoyed the "Miss Fisher" mysteries - it is so smart, so well-written, engaging, original
characters, and a superb acting ensemble. So rare among series television, each character grows,
develops, discovers her or himself. It is feminism in the finest sense - a heroine, the amazing Phryne,
not only not content with the stereotyped roles assigned her by 1920s culture, but refusing to accept
such, enabling herself and other women - the endearing Dottie, for one - to secure lives that fulfill
their individual talents, hopes, possibilities. Superb art direction, costume design - all combine to pre-
sent a marvelous look at the 1920s. Bravo!
