Excellent Novelized History
I read this book in high school many years ago and always remembered how it brought historical characters to life as real people with normal failings. Now that I am tutoring 14 year old girls, I am lending Desiree to them for pleasure reading and hopefully to kindle an interest in history.

Great Resource for Native American/First Nations Design Development
I had been looking for a resource for Native American designs for my knitting projects. This book is excellent for the history and source locations for designs from Alaska through Tierra del Fuego. Design elements can be taken directly, combined or modified as you wish. Every design presented is authenticated where possible. Good book to read through so designs can be recognized later on as they come up. Excellent reference book.

Easily portable and clear view of contents.
These are not for heavy use. Good for storage for personal use. Easy to stack for storage. Good for earrings, although I use them to keep Native American beaded jewelry.
