Okay, but.....
The board is well made and good quality. My only snag was that the two semiconductors at the end of the schematic (BG1 and BG2) are not readily available in the Netherlands. My knowledge was to limited to find a suitable substitute. Beside that: if you want a tube rectifier you want that because you don`t want semiconductors in your powersupply, why would then insert semiconductors in the scheme?

Much better than your inboard phono preamp in your amplifier
This is a well made phono preamp board for a very low price. I find the soundquality it produces amazingly good, more so when you see the price of the device. Keep it powered up a few days and the sound mellows, and the soundstage gets wider. The phono-stage of my Onkyo is way behind this one.

Very good sounding RIAA pre, high quality circuit board, good parts. One easily solvable problem.
I bought it and mounted it with a power supply in a housing/casing. It sounds very good, much better than a standard phono stage in most integrated amps. The only snatch was a slight hum.This was because I used all the earting connections on the print. This causes earth loops, and hum.
You can easily solve this by using a "star earthing" configuration. So make from the circuit board only one connection to the earthing point in your housing and use this point consequently for all connections to earth. When I did this the pre-amp had absolutely no hum, and sounds fine. Hopefully the photo explains it all, look for the white colored wires. They are all led to one point. I did not use the earth connections on the print at the power input and the output. I enjoy playing records through this phono pre-amp every day!!!
