Well more than average sound quality. Don't pay full price.
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich Pair purchased used, but in great condition, on ebay. Paid about 1/3 the price if new. Excellent speaker FOR THE PRICE. They are placement sensitive, i.e. to optimize their performance the pair must be placed just so (placed mine on a 12ft wall, 4ft from each corner, 4ft from each other, about 6ft off the floor). If you are able place them correctly, they sound great. For their size, regardless of frequency response numbers, base sound and feel is well above average. It is "full" though not "in your face"(no one will think you have a subwoofer). Also, you don't have to be seated in the "sweet spot" to enjoy "stereo" sound. The speakers fire at angles to create reflected sound and a more spacious sound stage than normal,front firing, box (bookshelf) speakers, but they are quite co-dependant. Sound is not harsh or hard but there is surprising detail, though not uniformly across the sound spectrum. Overall, the effect is pleasing. A great speaker for the size, just don't pay full price.

When completed I think it will be an excellent venture
Received the kit this past week, delivered timely. The PT 596 was built a couple of years ago. Great kit, great result. I am confident the Shnellboot S-100 will easily pass the same test. Only items missing? Depth Charges! See about making them available as they were a couple of years ago. Thanks, waiting and hoping. JH

Pairs well with other Sony Products
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Pros & Cons: pairs readily with my Sony x900E, but the TV remote negates the receiver remote and the TV remote makes use of the features of both more complicated. Not as feature full on the music/sound side of the equation. The sound menu for both music and TV programming are much more limited than what my Yamaha AV could do. The Yamaha was simply a better & more diverse sound producer. But if you want 4K content (and improved 1080p) with your Sony 4K TV (the visual end) and very good sound from the accompanying video feeds, you will like this Sony receiver very much.
