    Mint OnePlus 8T 12+256GB Green KB2000 Qualcomm 865 DualSIM 5G Android Smartphone

Gorgeous Tech - if you like Google!
I upgraded from a OnePlus 6T only because AT&T won't handle a 4G phone anymore. Mine is a dual sim so I also have a Canadian carrier installed and have no issues with 4G in Canada. But eventually I know I'll have to change to 5G so I've been watching for a new model for the last two years. Finally found this one at the price point I could afford and as far as the phone hardware goes... it is great! The software is good but not as great as what I had on my 6T, however, I am still learning to use the 8T because it is different. The very disappointing feature on it is that while OnePlus is Android and my 6T was totally generic Android, this new 8T is very annoying. OnePlus has gone to bed with Google and I hate Google. Almost everything on the phone is tied to Google and I'm having trouble making many features function without having to sign the phone over to Google. I had chose OnePlus because they were a flagship phone running android, and I may have been naïve to think Android was separate from Google, but this is not what I was looking for. I've had to to take it to three tech clinics to fix software like not being able to receive text messages or not having all my original data ported over to the 8T. The phone had to be wiped cleaned at one point so I could start over. I'm still not happy with the features, but I'm hoping I can fix this with tweaks. Now if you are a Google fan... this is a super excellent phone for you. I do not use Edge, Chrome, Gmail or any Google or Microsoft products because they are not safe for me in the work that I do. I have my own email platform and use Vivaldi or Tor browsers. So aside from that unfortunate surprise that the phone is pretty much a Google phone installed within a OnePlus case, it's a gorgeous piece of tech. Just hoping I can make it work for me and there are workarounds to the issues I have.

Why buy brand name printer ink cartridges?
I don't know why anyone would buy their printer supplies at retail anymore. Just don't understand it! I rarely buy anything at retail anymore... there's so many sales going on somebody someplace has it cheaper. And I'm not just talking about a measly 10-20% off. Gimme something worthwhile! When it gets to 40% Off, you've got my attention. So it is with ink cartridges. I have Brother laser & ink printers because they are inexpensive and dependable. Wally World sells the color cartridges at about $12.72 and $22.00 for the double black. They are never on sale! For the last 3 years I have been stocking up my supplies on ink cartridges off eBay and average about $5.00 per cartridge to my door. I've paid as much as seven and change and I've snapped up some for 99c plus postage for a total of about three bucks. Unless you've ignored the warnings your printer tells you about low ink levels and you've left it to the last minute, there should be no reason why you need to be running out to Staples, Office Depot or wherever to get a replacement! If you go through the volume our office does (or regardless) it makes it a wise decision to spend a bit of time setting up a favorites search for your particular ink cartridge(s). Then when you get down to 2 or 3... go shopping. You won't spend anymore time at it than physically store shopping at the retailer (unless they happen to be right next door) and you've save gas, wear & tear, and other associated expenses of that little trip to the mall. There are a few things I would caution if you've never done eBay purchasing for your office supplies: 1) Be sure the item is OEM (Original Equipment Manufactured) product in the brand of your printer. If the descriptions mention the word "compatible" stay clear! The reason for this is that compatible rarely means equal despite what the claims are. Sometimes inferior or less than ideal quality material components will affect your OEM printer warranty, or worse, your printer output. Considering that there is usually negligible difference in costs, why bother with anything but OEM parts. You know they WILL fit! 2) Be somewhat concerned about the expiry date. Two or three years in the future is great but even current year dates will no doubt get used up in quick order. Even last years will probably not be a problem. It is after all, a suggested use for optimal printing. Last years date will still work. But if it's 2-3 years old, well, it may be worth a shot at 99c, but remember: you still have choices! 3) If the cartridge is not sealed, I'd stay away from it, unless you can be absolutely sure it's still fresh ORIGINAL cartridge. Refilled OEM cartridges are not as safe as a sealed OEM cartridge. Again you'll be concerned with who filled what with what kind of ink and you don't want to find out when you're at a deadline trying to print out that important report. Ink smears are not pretty! And one final thing to know when you're printing. Multi-purpose paper is great for photocopiers. Not necessarily ideal for laser or inkjet printers. Paper specially formulated to meet the surface texture required by each printing process to properly lay the toner or ink on the respective paper without causing a bleed or ink saturation in the paper fibers. The later will use up your ink faster than necessary and the former will not bond a quality image to the paper. Honest! So stock up on a carton of paper when there's a great sale! Your welcome!
Walthers - Russell Snow Plow - Union Pacific - UP

    N SCALE RUSSELL SNOW PLOW
For N-scale modellers, this is a great item to acquire for your layout as it adds considerable interest to a portion of your empire. This product from Walthers in Milwaukee has been out of production (OOP) for several years so finding one is a bonus - especially at a good price. The original was issued at $14 but on eBay they are selling for upwards of $30, so anything below $20 is a good deal. The plow is a maintenance of way piece of equipment the railways used for clearing snow. Added to a side track or near your roundhouse facility can attract interest especially if it is also part of a work train parked for the summer months. Adding an old gondola and a crew car will help reinforce the scene. You don't have to model a winter scene to use this plow on your layout. The model is an older plastic die cast which looks good out of the box, but with changing out the old Rapido style trucks/couplers for a better quality Kadee, and some light weathering, you can easily improve the unit. Considering the scale there probably isn't much detail you can see so adding more isn't really necessary, but if you're into the fine scale aspect, adding some small details or replacing the stirrups with finer after market ones will only attract more attention from your visitors. I would easily recommend this product on the basic quality and price you can get it at if your patient. There are other and maybe a newer release available, but they come with a heftier price tag... I seen some at $40+. And it would be nice if you could find one in your preferred road name, but I would suggest that if the price is right... GET IT! You can always repaint it or just remove the logo and use it straight away. Even while you continue to watch for another deal.
