After all this time, VersaPak finally has a great new backward compatible charger and more powerful batteries available !
Well right off the bat, the new 3.6v Powerextra Ni-MH battery cells fit very nicely into this charger, especially since this charger was developed for the "Newer" VersaPak replacement batteries. Charge time is "Okay" given the fact that this charger is NOT a full computerized conditioning advanced charger costing probably double the HQRP Dual Charger.... and still gets the job done in a reasonable amount of charge time.
Might be bit more convenient if the power transformer were built into this charger, but if something were to fault down the road, it's easier to troubleshoot and cheaper to replace one piece instead of two.

Works great to 100 watts, but prices are crazy and going all over the place lately ! Really strange considering it only cost $19.95 NEW from Radio Shack ! But great time to sell, bad time to buy ! Isn't that the case when your looking for certain things of interest !
