does the job
Not only does it block extraneous light thus helping to concentrate on the image in the viewfinder But an added benefit is that it makes the sensor less sensitive so you can hold the camera closer to you without it automatically switching from screen to evf

it works!!
at a fraction of what it would have taking it to a repairers I fixed my broken flash gun as simply as plugging in the cable and screwing in the replacement. a job anyone could do
