Disappointed with EDG II 7x42
0 von 2 finden das hilfreich I am very disappointed with this Nikon EDG II 7x42 after bought it online from Japan. The image quality even can not bet my Hawke Frontier ED X 8x42. And compare my Maven B3 8x30 its quite far away. It's not like an alpha level binocular.
I have a Chinese brand poro prism bin made with military quality can use between -40C to 80C and image quality is good but quite heavy.
Then I bought Nikon Aculon A211 7x35 quite impressed. Bushnell 8x20 compact quite poor. Maven 8x30 is the best in my bins so far. Hawke Frontier ED X 8x42 also very good but can't beat Maven.
For Nikon EDG II 7x42, I expected a lot but didn't get it at all. After a lot of research, I decided to but it as it's only on from Japanese brand which can beat those Germany alpha bins. Like Swaro , Leica and Zeiss.
The delivery of EDG 7x42 is fast. Image quality is almost same level to Hawke ED X. The rain guard is not for this model and it's bigger than the eye cups. How to prevent the dust ?
I asked myself is this the one can beat alpha? No, not at all. I will not buy this brand anymore.
GPO passion HD and Votex Razor HD are on my wish list but they are not deliver outside US.
These 2 and one more brand can beat those alphas or almost there. To most of is, we can't even see the difference of image quality.
Above is Lesson learnt after spend few thousand. If you just want one, can go for GPO, Maven or Vortex Viper or Razor. Hope this post helps.
