Salute to Lady Liberty
It was a one time coin to celebrate the Statue of Liberty.....a symbol that seems more important as time goes by.

A beautiful but unknown coin
I'm not a coin collector officially. they intrigue me and I am starting to take a deeper interest. I had never heard of Barber dimes. This one caught my eye because it is from the year my Grandfather was born. Yikes, how's that for making history fun. This coin is different from today, and now I have to find out more about it. Why's it called Barber? I now wonder where this coin was, and who handled it. Did it go to World War 1? How many people have spent it? It can now retire gracefully and amaze me with it's past. and if I do this right, the kids will find it fascinating as well. We might even buy a coin from the year I was born.
