Suited for bigger flies
If you’re fishing for Clousers or any “shad”/“minnow” imitation streamers, 6wt is suited for bigger profile. Not the size 6 or lower which is suited for 4/5 wt lines. I did well with 5/6 wt Magnums. Size 6 Clousers on 5wt, size 2 Clousers on 6wt. Perfect! It’s all about the presentation.

Ah, sweet bow!
Heck, my cousin shoots Hoyt 38 Ultra with Cam & Half system. Loves it! He let me take a taste of the shot. 65 lbs draw, 29" draw length, 385 grains Easton ST Epic arrow (85 grains tip) and shoots 273 FPS. Boyee, should I be slapping myself! It was quiet, smooth and good solid back wall.
I decided to get one myself. I ended up getting the wrong 38 Ultra that came with Vector & Half cam system. Before I could send it back, I decided to do a bit research on Vector & Half cam system. I didn't look back, went ahead with the set up and went with 380 grains Beman ICS Hunter arrow (yes, with 85 grains tip). 29" DL/65 lbs setting, shoots 280 FPS. The valley pull was SMOOTH and didn't struggle. The shot, barely could feel vibrations. After the shot, the arrow was SMOKIN'!
I know that I'll be looking at 285-290 FPS once I shoot it with Easton Flatline arrows. Smokin' fast but so deadly QUIET! Man, that's sick and LETHAL coming from Hoyt 38 Ultra! Too bad that Hoyt only makes 38 Pro with Cam and Half system and discontinued the 38 Ultra. Imagine Hoyt 38 Pro with Vector and Half system that'll be notching up another 10-15 extra FPS. That's extra SPEED right there! Simply put...GET SERIOUS and SHOOT HOYT!
