Sorted my problem.
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich My 2010 Civic Type R developed a fault where only the drivers side mirror would fold in when pressing the button. The left would do absolutely nothing. After doing some research, I found that replacing the guilty part (the shut-off device) would more than likely fix my issue. I found the part I needed here and decided to give it a go. It only took me a few minutes to remove the mirror cap and swap out the faulty SOD - now both my mirrors work! It's quite reassuring that August Motors have a presence here, as it gives confidence that the part is genuine will hopefully last. Really happy all in all, not as expensive or difficult to replace as you might think.

Sorted my issue.
My fn2 type r was making a fizzing noise from the engine bay. After doing about 5 minutes of research I discovered that this was likely the PCV valve that needed replacing. One of the easier things to do yourself and has sorted my issue. No more fizzing noises!
