Like the original.
I actually use my 1949 8N as a working tractor on a small farm, and expect parts to be well made, to fit, and to do the job they are supposed to do. This one does.

Poorly made but serviceable.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Poorly made but serviceable. If you have viewed any YouTube videos about these machines you know they are about as crudely made as a stone axe. That said, like a stone axe, they work, more or less. The bobbin winder was a joke, but fixable. The fit and finish is pathetic. That said, I'm making leather harness parts for my donkey powered farm, and it sure beats a hand awl. It works.

A good planting tool
I bought this for planting trees and shrubs on my food forest farm. It's a good weight and size to handle easily, to open and close a planting hole with. Not at all a refined tool, just a simple iron and wood one hand mattock. Entirely satisfactory.
