Dorco SG-A2000 review
This razor is very similar to one of the Viking Blade razors ,which are very nice razors. Some of the info on some sites I've seen state that is made of stainless steel when in fact it is either chrome or nickel plated brass. Don't get me wrong , it's still a quality product as this is the same way most of the high quality vintage Gillette razors were made. The razor is unique since it is one of very few razors that encloses the tabs on the ends of the razor blade. The blade gap is set to a medium blade exposure as are most vintage Gillette. I have many vintage razors and this Dorco shaves as nicely as any of them. The finish on the razor is beautiful. The only thing I would change about it would be to knurl it to improve grip. The weight of the razor is 71 grams so it has a nice heft to it. A great overall razor ! One of the best in this price range.

Straight razor review
The author makes some basic assumptions that are incorrect regarding straight razors, one of which is that the condition of a razor is one of the last criteria to consider since they will not actually going to be used. This is just not the case for millions of razor owners including myself.
Also he assumes that American made razors are generally older and therefore more collectable than European razors. This is simply wrong. He completely ignores many highly respected European razor manufacturers that are considered some of the best shavers one could obtain.
