ProMedia 2.1 very good for price; beware of common issues, do research
To begin with, I am a college student on a budget and was not looking to invest a lot of money into a larger system, or studio monitors, etc. This is my first foray into audio equipment of any kind, and its a modest start at that. I simply wanted an affordable set of speakers to place near my PC so I could enjoy reasonably good quality sound for movies and music (I had previously purchased a cheaper ($40) 2.1, but it didn't even come close). That being said, I am satisfied with the purchase based on the research and online comparisons I have done.
Bottom line, this 2.1 system delivers for the price range. I was able to get a virtually brand-new set on auction for around $70(plus considerable shipping). As with most things, be weary of extreme reviews from either end of the spectrum. You won't be stunned by the beauty, nor completely disappointed. For under $100 I have come to learn this is a pretty decent package. The bass is more than adequate and the overall clarity and fidelity is good (source matters; music files much better than user submitted web videos, obviously). Most suitable for around computer or a small-medium space.
Caution: there are some common issues you should be aware of. The main one, which I became acquainted with very quickly, is the faulty control pod. If you read the Klipsch forum, you will notice MANY people have experienced defective control pods that will suddenly lose ability to balance the satellites or control the volume properly. This is an old system, and many of the "new" sets you auction for or buy online may potentially have defects, as they are the only remaining systems.
Beyond this problem, the quality of the components you receive is hit or miss; most will be fine, some will be faulty (received spare satellite with replacement control pod; didn't work well). It is, after all, a product manufactured in China. Also, as others mention, there is no power switch, so be careful when connecting/disconnecting, so as not to pop the speakers.
In summary, I like the Pro-medias and enjoy them. But, they are only computer speakers (though VERY good ones)and have their drawbacks (I'm also a bit concerned about their longevity). If I had more money, I would probably go with something a bit higher quality.

Well balanced bike mini tool
Surprisingly small, light and sleek given all that's packed in this tool. Has perfect amount of features for me. Lacks tubeless tire and disc brake repair functions found on newer, bigger tools like the PT30, but I don't require them, thereby saving me weight and size. Still has room for quick link storage. Nice tight fitting storage case. Machining and finish look good. Feels constructed well. Time will tell.
