Great design, sound a notch below Apogee Duet
There's a lot to love about the design and features. Two of my favorites are the -15 dB volume shortcut by pressing down the knob, and the two headphone outputs. However, coming from an Apogee Duet Firewire, the converters didn't sound as nice. My initial impression was that the sound through my monitors sounded dull and flat compared to the Duet. The experience was similar when recording through their preamp, which was clean, but still sounded dull. I still think it's a solid interface for $200 or less used, but it's a notch below Apogee's interfaces.

THE mic to get! (Trumpet player/horn arranger)
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I chose the XLS model since I'm trumpet player and want a flatter high-end response compared to XLII. The setting in between hyper-cardioid and figure-8 has the body and brilliance that I wanted, and the sound is super clean with the pass-filter and attenuation settings. I will not go back to my ribbon after this!
