Rather expensive but few other options
This is one of very few batteries that will fit the Mazda Mx5. It happens to be a gel battery which requires a special charger to ensure that the life of the battery is not compromised if an initial or refreshing charge is required. I only had a standard charger, so had to buy a specific charger for this battery. With the higher cost of this battery compared to regular lead acid batteries and the need to buy a charger for it, made this a more expensive exercise than it should have been!
Unfortunately there are few options when the need to replace a Mazda Mx5 battery occurs. Having said that the battery performs well.
