Lousy mic - cable wired wrong - Use handle with a better cartridge
Low grade microphone with low sensitivity, muddy lows and nonexistent highs, lacking articulation. I replaced its very basic lowest cost dynamic cartridge with a $5 replacement cartridge. I purchased this mic to prove even the cheapest microphone would work with a ham radio ... and it failed to make the grade. The original cartridge is barely good enough for yelling instructions to kids in a gymnasium - it is NOT clear enough for any formal application, especially failing on female voices. The cable was improperly wired, adding insult to injury. Lousy microphone - but OK cheap donor repair handle with a better cartridge. T T
