Unlike many of the plastic units available, this one is metal . It looks and feels solid.

Works well for me on Windows 7/64 bit

I have Window 7/64 bit.
My plan is to convert a bunch of home video on VHS tapes over to mp2/mp4 files.
I ordered this as a gamble, reasoning that it was cheap enough that if it didn't work my loss would be minimal.
I was impressed with how easy it is to use, and how well it works.
(I didn't try using the S-video plug).
The software works well.
My only issue was that the "buttons" on the control panel as they appear on your screen are very small and unreadable. I had to grab a magnifying glass. There does not appear to be any way of increasing the display.
Nonetheless, it works well, recording both video and sound. I now have my old VHS tapes in DVD format.
