A thoroughly entertaining action thriller movie that holds true to the orginal 1990 version.
Despite the mixed reviews when it was first released, I thoroughly enjoyed Bridget Fonda's
foray into the dark side. And Anne Bancroft's and Harvey Keitel's limited appearances
were spot-on. It's one of the few remake's of an earlier film ("La Femme Nikita" was the
original in 1990 with Anne Parillaud in the starring role) that actually holds true to the
original version. I have the movie on video tape, and have always wanted to pick up a
copy of the film on DVD. So, now I can finally check that one off my "1001 Things to Do
Before I Die" list.

Overall, two good films with two good casts.
Remember these two films fondly when first released in the early '70s ("Love Story") and several years later in the late '70s ("Oliver's Story"). Although "Oliver's Story" was not as well-received by fans and
critics as was the original film with Ali MacGraw, I was one of those few viewers that enjoyed both films. Good to see what was, at that time, a young and up-and-coming Candice Bergen again. Nice that I was able to pick up both DVDs in one shot on ebay. Thanks.
