Brackets
I use the vise brake to bend my own metal brackets and holders out of strips of various metals. For that purpose the Kakaind 8 works like a charm and it doesn't take up any space in the workshop, as it is mounted to the vise, when needed and can be stowed away in a drawer, when not in use.
Bending is precise, right on the line. As the bending is done by slowly cranking the vise, angles can be dialed in pretty precisely; you have to bring your own protractor, though. There seems to be no way to pre-set, how far you want to go. Soemthing like a "depth-stop" could be rigged up by a creative mind, it would help to make precisely repeatable bends.
The shapes you can create with this, are limited by the construction of your vise, e.g. an u-shape will have to have short legs in order not to collide with the jaws of your vise. It seems to be meant for small things.
My vise is a little smaller than the 8 inches of the vise brake, but this is no problem at all. It surely wouldn't work very well if at all on a 4 inch vise, though.
Overall, I am happy. It does, what I intended it for and it does it very well.
