Miami Lite
This is a story of what historical forces chose Miami as a battlefield in 1980. I lived here through it. With this 2020 copyright, it simply raises a whole bunch of old news to a compelling new perspective. I disagree with the writer’s style at times, I would never write about such horrific moments lightly, calling attention to myself, even occasionally as an Nicholas Griffin does. He does not write in the language of Miami. This is very serious subject matter. The only thing this book has going for it is that it is brand new and the subject has been researched all this time. A lot of Miami history books exaggerate with these transhistorical claims that persisted beyond Hurricane Andrew in 1992. To its credit, this book does not try to sensationalize what happened to Miami. It’s all here, minus these crazy exaggerations, just kind of lame. But the content is accurate and does advance the story in its own way. I would recommend this book to people who have interest in American cities, people who love Jane Jacobs. The next book to read is_Making a Life in Multiethnic Miami: Immigration and the Rise of a Global City_by Elena Sabogal, Elizabeth M. Aranda, and Sallie Hughes of 2014.

Awesome!
These great in-ear phones originally came with an old Sony CD Walkman. I had lost mine and have been very fortunate to find one again at a great price. The item arrived with surprising speed (mid-May). And they sound just like a full Sony product! Many thanks.

Everything It Claims To Be and Much More.
I’ll leave this review to people who know a lot more than I do. All I can tell you is that I love this tool. It is a mixture of a supertool and a wave. The very best of both. Real construction workers would like one of these on their belts so they don’t have to climb down a ladder, or crawl out from some hole to go to their toolbox. Whatever positive things have been written about this multitool, please believe them. The knives are not as good as Benchmade or Buck, but they are great knives nevertheless, and Leatherman will replace damaged or dull blades for free. The company just told me don’t even bother to send $10 anymore. (On this tool Leatherman did not write its brand on its main knife. It is the only slight con, as the rest of the tool has been designed expertly.)
