Older and the binding is cracking and separating from the spine, but it is 48 years old. Otherwise, it was in great condition.

Great volume for learning about the old west.
This is a favorite volume from this set. I had enjoyed it so much as a child that I was not surprised to find that the first copy I purchased was falling apart due to use. It is a well written, well illustrated volume that is informative and entertaining.
