Howdy. I'm junk peddler from the hills of Kentucky. I deal in vintage video games, musical instruments, and general oddities. I've had my share of bad Ebay deals, but I'm a stand up guy and if you communicate with me I'll make sure you get the best!

Greatest Distortion/OD/ Clean Boost on the market
This is the single greatest distortion/boost pedal on the market. I've owned several products like the fulltone fulldrive 2 mosfet and the boss blues driver and this runs them straight into the ground. The pedal makes all my amplifiers sound like a raging marshall stack. A lot of reviews say the pedal has SCRATCH POTS, but this is inaccurate. The reality is that it is designed to have pots that crackle. These are part of the reason the pedal sounds so amazing. The boost side of the pedal is fantastic and doesn't push my vox ac30 into OD, just a fat clean boost. My Fender Super reverb on the other hand can become very raspy when the boost goes above 10 o clock. This is really dependent on your amplifier so expect different reactions. On my solid state fender stage it just fattens up the tone and boosts the volume as well. The ROCK side of the pedal does the exact same thing on every amp I've plugged it into, it turns it into a roaring Marshall. The telecaster and paul tones are very different and rolling back the volume of your guitar really cleans this pedal up and makes for a versatile stage performer. Go to a store and try one of these out before you waste your money on anything else. New or used you can't beat the price for the value.

Quater of the price. All of the bang.
This pedal seems like a long shot at first. Behringer isn't known for making top notch anything. Their amps are weak, their modeling is mediocre, and their line of cheap plastic pedals are sub-par. I don't know if this was a fluke or a genuine advance in their production, but these pedals are really worth the dollar you put into them. Lets talk about the construction. I have in my lap two pedals. I have an Electroharmonix Holy Grail and the Behringer Vintage Phaser. You'd think the EHX pedal would be built like a tank. It's not. The Behringer has a steel case that's twice as rugged as the EHX. The only part you might want to replace is the dinky knob. It detracts from the looks of the pedal. The inputs are tough and over all this thing is built like a tank. The only other complaint is the plastic battery compartment. Sound quality is great. It's true bypass for tone slingers. It's got two modes and turned all the way up you can get some freaked out wonky sounds. It's a basic phaser and it's nothing fancy. Don't buy this if you want super tight control over every aspect of the effect. This is a set and forget deal (like the EHX pedals they are made to imitate.) I recommend this pedal if you're on a budget or if you're not. Hope I helped

This pedal is a fantastic purchase and would make a great addition.
Where to start? I sold a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 to purchase this and several other overdrive's to add some flavor to my rig. The full tone was excellent, but not what I was looking for. I tested this pedal through several amplifiers including a Fender Bassman, Epiphone Valve Jr, Vox Valvetronix set for clean, and a Fender Pro Reverb. It performed admirably on all amps. It can really get an Orange crunch tone going. This pedal really shines in its sensitivity to the picking hand. You can lay off and get a completely clean sound or roll back your volume control on your guitar for a full clean sound. This is a very important feature that a lot of overdrives lack. The tone sweep on the pedal is also impressive. It can really alter the sound instead of being a high sweep. I set it at about 10 o clock and I can't get a bad sound. All my guitars react well to this pedal. I've used a Gretch Tenn. Rose, Fender Deluxe Tele 72, A Harmony Bobkat, and an Ibanez...thing. (not a very metal guy) I would not recommend this for metal. It's definitely a rocker and a low gain driver. The only drawback is the lack of true bypass, but if you have several true bypass pedals in your chain and a lot of cable you could really use the buffer in the pedal. I didn't notice any tone loss.
