A plot of Irish resistance exposing the depths of colonialism and empire building
A stirring epic portraying the Irish resistance against British oppression at the beginning of the last century. Sadly the exploitation continues. Great performance from Liam Neeson.

Simply, one of the best films of all time. Unmissable.
Superb entertainment throughout, one of my favourite films of all time.
The cast is genuinely stellar with the incomparable Alec Guinness and legendary Peter Sellers along with his 'Pink Panther' nemesis Herbert Lom, the quinessential Englishman of the era, Cecil Parker.
They simply don't make films as good as this anymore. Brilliantly directed, the humour is timeless and the plot wonderfully engaging - if you have not seen it, spoil yourself this Christmas!
