Cordless SDS drill/ chisel, with no known dislikes.
Bought as a back up to an identical unit already owned. A Superb multi function drill which accomplishes most domestic SDS tasks while still being light and easy to handle. Have no experience of similarly priced comparable units but of all high end power tools I own, Makita has generally proved most reliable. At the price it was offered for, I couldn't afford to let it pass.

A risk in mail ordering from abroad.
This particular unit was incorrectly assembled, to the extent that it could not be installed.
Because the fault was visibly obvious to anyone, it can only be assumed that adequate quality control was not part of its manufacturing process.
The fact that the operating Bowden cable had been led over the top of one sliding shoe, trapping it between the shoe and window glass during on site installation, prevented the fitting of the glass retaining spring-clip.
Where the BMW original unit cable was extensively spring loaded, this aftermarket unit was not. This fact unfortunately negated any chance of safely self-rectifying this particular manufacturing fault.
Although a flimsy unit when compared with the original, there is no reason to suppose that a correctly assembled unit would not have served its purpose.
However, in light of the non- refundable international cost of safely returning such items, in future I personally shall not risk sourcing any other poorly assembled parts bearing this once iconic brand name.

The cheapest alternative repair
Although coarsely finished and rather tight fitting on the guide rails, these units effect a satisfactory repair at around 100th the cost of a genuine replacement regulator unit.
Provided the door opening side clip alone needs replacement, this can be readily achieved without the need for temporarily removing the complete regulator, window glass and door airbag assembly.
A month after fitting my car window continues to operate satisfactorily.
