A great part of WW2 that has missed mainstream media.
How many other non-Scandinavian people knew about this before the movie came out?
Back in the 1970s, I achieved 98% in an exam at 15yo, including aspects of WW2 (very good private school in the UK) but was never taught any of this.

Pulled-in by the characters, and set in an era that I have watched/read a significant amount about.
Part of a great TV series, the final 2 seasons were split into 2 parts. I now have almost the complete series, except Season 6 Part 2, which is not out on Region B BluRay yet.
I watched Seasons 1 - 3 well over a year ago and became hooked on the series but won't re-watch until I have that last part. It is set in an era in which my interest was begun by my Danish grandmother, who from the age of 5, bought me books and we discussed the various invasions (Saxon, Norse, Viking, etc).
Great script and some very good acting from a large cast ensemble, with serious attention to detail.
