Bert's Bacchanalian Bible.
This was the ultimate in horse-racing nostalgia circa the 50s and 60s, and revived many endearing recollections of times when the horses galloped, the race-callers galvanised, and your backyard bookie gained plenty. They were times before we began taking ourselves too seriously.

It was certaily "wonderful" and it was certainly Robert Goulet, therefore it was "title-appropriate."
This is a smooth, classy CD of incomparable songs from an era which knew how to compose.
