Demon Tyre Shine....Great!!

A great read!
Having visited Normandy earlier this year I became aware of CSM StanHollis and his bravery on D Day, and wanted to understand more about the man and his life.
For me this book is beautifully written, with many testimonials from family, friends, and servicemen, past and present. It made it clear that his D day actions were not just isolated acts of heroism.
A great tribute to an understated hero, and fully recommended for anyone visiting Gold beach in Normandy and seeing Stan's memorial plaque.

A great little book
A pocket sized book that contains a wealth of useful information including summaries of the 3 WW1 battles, what to do, what to see in Ypres, and in addition to detailing a full tour of the general battlefield it also details 1 day and half day self guided tours.... brilliant if time is at a premium.
I'm glad I've bought this book!!
