An apt overview of storied past glories.
I liked the insert, too. I never tire of the music from Steely Dan. RIP Walter Becker

michele -- "saturn rings"
This cd is out after briefly being available from/in Japan years ago. Maybe you'll find a copy in a used LP shop, but don't hold your breath. Did you see the movie "A Mighty Wind"? The spoof on 1960's folksingers re-uniting to honor a belated promoter in a concert? It had lots of subtle, even gentle humor. Some of the original songs in the film were better than good. Michele (O'Malley)'s "Saturn Rings" kind of reminds me of songs on the "Mighty Wind" soundtrack. There's an innocence about them, yet they are well-played by a band of studio musicians, several in the infancy of their careers. I got the cd because of that, really. But I'm not disatisfied with my choice. It's the kind of record that acts as time capsule, capturing a time and place that was California in the late 1960's. It may well define those times. I think it strong enough a record as that goes.

Timeless Treasure from Bassist/Composer Chris Buck!!
A fine collection of Progressive Rock Tune-age. Starring Bassist Chris Buck as himself, Keyboard player Derek Sherinian, Drummer Virgil Donati, and on one track, the late great Allan Holdsworth on a mezmerising guitar solo during the Buck original "Kannines". Buck and friends also trot out a respectable cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Up From The Skies". 2007 recording.
