So far so good
I'm still playing with a lot of the settings. So far if I hook it through an optical cable the TV controls the Soundbar and subwoofer perfectly. When you hook it up through a HDMI cable the TV will control the soundbar but not fully. That is where I'm still sorting out the settings to see if you control it fully through the HDMI cable.
In a 20 by 20 room with 9 foot ceilings it gets plenty loud for watching movies and dance parties with good quality in my uneducated perspective. It's not rock concert loud nor does it compete in that space. I was amazed I how much sound I was missing in the movies I was watching. I'm going back and re-watching movies now to hear what I've been missing. I currently have it paired with a 65" Samsung 8 series super high-def television
