Optimate Duo 1 - improving a reliable brand
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich Bought to replace an earlier Optimate that I'd had for over 10 years which was no longer working properly in the final testing phase. This new version worked perfectly and confirmed a couple of batteries were fine saving me money in unnecessarily replacing batteries that were in a good state. I also like the fact that this can also be used on the new Lithium Ion batteries which my old Optimate would not have been able to do so this makes it a dual purpose charger saving me even more money in future.

Pure Class - worth every penny
It's hard to believe that at the time I write this, this album is already 18 years old (it came out in 1994).
I kept meaning to get it for ages and then didn't see it around for years. The melodies stayed with me all this time so I'm dead chuffed to finally get a copy on CD - downloading tracks is the in thing these days but I like to have the booklet with the lyrics and the list of musicians to read through in my hand. No surprise I prefer books to *indles too.
This has to be one of my favourite Jazz albums of the 90's and it still oozes a quality and coolness that has easily stood the test of time.
Personally, I have to judge a Jazz album on it's ability to make me get into that groove, feeling the bass and losing myself in the piano and percussion - you know where I'm at right? Well, step right up, this is an album to give you that feel good feeling.
From the gorgeous version of Summertime with Maysa Leak through the Groovy version of Eugene Daniel's Compared to What with the talented Joy Rose (2 tracks that justify a purchase alone) to the superb Wake Up with Maxi Jazz rap lyrics this album is so cool, it ought to jump out the case and play itself!!
The entire album is an all round high quality offering with seriously superb musicianship from Jason and the other musicians and great vocals.
It's keeper - mark my words.

A New band destined for big things - buy it or regret it
I ordered the Cd just before seeing them on the bill as a late entry to support Chic and Soul 2 Soul at Blenheim Palace . I liked a couple of tracks I found on you tube and thought I'd take a punt -Having seen them live only made me more eager to receive the CD as they were simply Superb - I have to say they were not so much of a support but equal or better in stature and musicianship to the other main acts - they should be proud of themselves. The CD delivers in spades and there are a lot of tracks for your money and they are mostly great tracks too with very little in the way of fillers, if you know what I mean. It's a simple formula -great songs, great grooves and a great sound that get you moving and tapping and wanting to dance and I've already booked to see them again this year as I loved their music and performance. One of the best CDs I've bought in a while (comes with a little booklet insert that I didn't see at firs) and if there is any taste in music in the world, they are gonna be big. Highly recommended!!!!!!
