So happy I bought this one, it's a real treasure!
What a pleasant surprise this CD was. The title track is now one of my favorite Leon Russell songs, having a depth of lyric like "Stranger in a Strange Land" with a life affirming positive tone. "Black Halos" is eeirily prophetic with the world TODAY.There are such rich stories and so many life lessons in the other tracks that any Russell affectionado must hear this. The final track "Eyes of the Children" is a magnificent tribute to a lifetime love and mother of his children. In middle age, Mr. Russell is still spectacular and this foray out of semi retirement is delicious!

The sounds of Christmas was our favorite cd over the holidays this year. The upbeat piano and stirring orchestration was good at home and in the car!

Leon Russells debut is perhaps the best CD I own...
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Just look at who his back up band is on this! Beatles, Stones, amazing talent! He is still the master of space and time and this early album is just a taste of what's to come. Should be in every collection!
