Bleak House DVD
An excellent BBC production of a Dickens classic. The settings of the period were depicted well in both in the country and city situations and you were taken back to the period showing the poverty and the wealth of Dickens time.. The cast playing the parts were suited to their roles and played their parts as depicted in the book. From disc one I was engrossed and although I knew the story I was tempted to watch the whole of show at one sitting. This production was up to the very best of BBC drama and as a result I will purchase more including Little Dorritt and David Copperfield to complete my collection but not Great Expectations as there have been too many remakes of this in film and DVD format.
