Fitted in Landrover
Was a little unsure if this would work but took the plunge and bought one as I have swapped and changed the gear ratios on my Landrover and want an accurate reading (too many speeds traps!). Easy to wire up I connected to an old 12v cigarette lighter socket and have balanced on the dash of my works car. The speedo matches the speed reading on my Tom Tom exactly so am confident it works. Takes a few minutes to find a satellite from a cold start but once working I have not lost connection as yet.
The only down side I have seen is when you slow from motorway to stop quickly as the dial takes a couple of seconds to catch up, not sure if it will be a problem in a 60 year old landrover though.
Oh and it comes with a plug so no need to buy one as I did.
Only concern now is if it will still work when I mount in the dashboard I am building.
