Loud, tuneful and great value!

Delighted with the loud volume that is available. The choice of tunes is excellent but you don't have to go too far to find a classic Westminster Chime. The construction is as solid as products that cost triple this price. Looking forward to many years of reliable service.

Excellent Low Cost Replacement Part

This fan fits perfectly and runs very quietly. Don't forget to check all the packaging because you even get replacement thermal grease for the CPU. Outstanding value!

This is seriously cool!

So I used AMD OverDrive to monitor temperature and loaded up the A8-7600 CPUs with live streaming, video playback and flight simulator. Still couldn't get to 100% CPU load so I ran the stability test as well! Running full blast there was still a thermal margin of 48 degrees. This is serious cooling indeed! The thermal performance is so good that, when using normal desktop applications/internet, the fan does not need to run at all and I retain a generous thermal margin in the mid 60s. Now this not a straight clip-on replacement; you have to unscrew and remove the original fan mounting. You then screw two supporting bars onto the new cooler and use the original fan mount screws to secure the cooler onto the CPU. Oh, of course you need to apply a few thin (repeat thin!) lines of the supplied thermal grease before screwing the cooler into position. Being PWM controlled, you can then customise the cooling profile in terms of fan speeds/temps in BIOS if you wish. Screwing the new cooler down was a little bit fiddly but well worth the effort in view of the superb cooling performance. Total time for mature chap to install from box to boot 20min. I have no hesitation in recommending this as a reasonably priced, high performance upgrade to the standard cooler.
