Great if you're into Laurel & Hardy. Even if you're just luke warm about the boys, this'll make you a convert!
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich This truly is the finest ever restoration of some of the best of Laurel and Hardy. Particularly notable is the stunning restoration of the long lost silent "Battle of the Century". The Three Stooges had a pie fight in practically every other short they made. Yet despite the supreme position that Laurel and Hardy occupied in the world of slap stick and vintage comedy, they generally eschewed pie fights. Word has it that they decided if they were going to do a picture with a pie fight in it, they would do the biggest pie fight to end all pie fights. And that is just what they do in "Battle of The Century"!
Other goodies include the best ever restoration of "Sons of The Desert" and "Twice Two" along with commentary tracks that are both informative and (for the most part) interesting. This is a must have for fans of classic comedy, especially those who love Stan and Ollie.
